Fall Is Finally Here- (and other updates on the fam)

So, it’s finally fall in Texas!!!!! I thought it would never come.  It was a long hot summer, and I am so ready for the fall weather that arrived.  We miss St. Louis- both our amazing friends and the weather!  The begininning of September marked our 1 year anniversary of being in Texas. It’s been kind of a love-hate relationship with Texas at times, but we’ve seen God’s hand throughout all of it; and I’m convinced we will continue to see him move on our behalf and guide us as He always does.  We have at times been forced to walk in a higher level of faith than we may have even thought possible.  Mimi (my mom) came to see us the first weekend in October.  We took the girls to the pumpkin patch for the first time while she was here.  Although we haven’t seen her since April, the girls warmed up to her quickly and they all really enjoyed each other.  We are all looking forward to seeing my family at Christmas (its been a long time).

I have recently launched my photography website: sarahvaughnphotography.com  I’m doing it on the side.  Something I enjoy and want to pursue.  So if you live in Texas…..near Denton, or Dallas…….send me an email, go visit my site, or call me.  The holidays are coming up and it’s time for family pictures to send out to family and friends!
The girls are growing like crazy, and I can’t believe they will be 2 years old in just 7 weeks.  Where does the time go?  They are at such a fun age.  Everything is new and an adventure.  They are talking (some recognizable words, others not so much), climbing on everything, love to read and sing and dance.  They are my joy!  They love their cousin JJ (aka: Jocelyn) like she was their third sister.  Laila is the care-taker.  Bringing sissy her cup, or giki (blanket)….making sure she has what she needs first, well most of the time.  Liberty is full of energy and never stops moving.  She is mischevious.  Both my girls are sweet, and loving, affectionate and I wouldn’t trade ‘em for anything.  Love being a mommy.  IT’s what I was made to do.  Working 40+ has been an added challenge this season that I wouldn’t have chosen, but I have learned alot.  I will soon be cutting back hours and be able to be back home with the little ones more, YAY!!!!
Tyler is doing really well.  Writing like crazy, as always.  He recently got some new recording equipment, so I see lots of at home recording in our future.  Something we’ve been working towards for a long time.  We are still trying to get our cd “Ten Virgins” wrapped up in post production.  It’s been in progress for almost 2 years now.  We are both ready to have it done.  He’s the best dad in the world.  And the girls can’t get enough of him.  All in all, the Vaughn family is doing really well.  Continually learning, like the rest of creation, what’s important and what really isn’t; where we should put our time and efforts and where to not bother; and most importantly how to love each other better.
